The Door Is Open.

Come as You Are.
At Altoona Christian Church, we are Disciples of Christ who believe in being the kind of church that reflects Christ’s love both inside and outside our walls. Whether you’re seeking connection with God, building community with others, or exploring faith for the first time, there’s a place for you here. Each Sunday, you’ll experience joyful worship, Christ-centered teaching, and a community eager to grow together.

What To Expect
What’s worship like at ACC?
Come as you are — service lasts about an hour, blends traditional and contemporary music, and always includes communion. Kids are always welcome in worship, with a nursery room available if needed. Each week, members and guests are invited to join us after worship for coffee and snacks in the fellowship hall for community and fellowship.

Welcome
Come as you are with—no dress code, no expectations. Worship is a mix of traditional and contemporary styles, and children are invited to participate right alongside adults. Whether you’re new to Altoona or have lived here for years, we invite you to check us out and experience God’s love in action.

Our
Congregational
Values
At ACC, everyone is welcome. We do not make distinctions based on race, color, creed, orientation, or background. We believe God’s love is for the whole world — and that means you.
Ministries
Faith grows stronger when it’s lived out together. At ACC, you’ll find ministries for every age and stage of life:
- Children & Youth: Kids worship alongside adults, enjoy hands-on activities, and join summer camps designed just for them.
- Adults: Bible studies on Sundays and Wednesdays provide a space for learning, encouragement, and real conversation.
- Outreach: From seasonal potlucks to coat drives and Caring Hands Food Pantry, we serve Altoona and beyond with open hearts.

Sermons & Worship
Our worship blends the richness of tradition with the freshness of the present. Some Sundays you’ll hear hymns led by organ and piano; other times, contemporary music fills the sanctuary. Every service includes Scripture, prayer, communion, and a message that connects God’s Word to everyday life.
Couldn’t join us in person? You can watch or listen to past sermons online anytime.
